Join us for our monthly meeting for residents of Neighborhood Planning Unit V! The City of Atlanta is divided into 25 Neighborhood Planning Units or NPUs, which are citizen advisory councils that make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on zoning, land use, and other planning issues. The NPU system was established in 1974 to provide an opportunity for citizens to participate actively in the Comprehensive Development Plan, which is the city’s long-term vision for the next five, ten, and fifteen years into the future. It is also used as a way for citizens to receive information concerning all functions of city government. NPU-V encompasses the communities of Mechanicsville, Summerhill, Peoplestown, Pittsburgh, Adair Park, and Capitol Gateway.
The host community is Capitol Gateway and the meeting will be held at Fulton Atlanta Community Action Authority Resource Center (341 Kelly Street SE Atlanta, GA 30312).
The meeting agenda will be added once it’s published.
See you there!
As a follow up to last month’s NPU-V Community Forum, please join us as we introduce a collective of organizations dedicated to the residents of NPU-V communities. Come share your needs, hopes, and dreams for your community as we pledge to work towards a collective vision!

Greetings and Happy New Year Family!
There is an African-American proverb that says, “each one, teach one”, and at the Partnership for Southern Equity we take that to heart especially in our leadership development work, which is at the core of what we do. That’s why I would like to personally invite you or someone you know to participate in our upcoming Just Energy Academy (JEA).
This unique seven-month leadership development program was created to educate the next generation of equity leaders on energy equity and climate justice issues. JEA is a competitive program for youth and adults who aspire to be energy equity leaders in their communities.
Deadline for application is Friday, January 18, 2019. Apply today!
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me or our Just Energy team.
I look forward to seeing you there.
