NPU-V Residents! Call for community involvement!

Please find below the Call for NPU-V community involvement from Jamani the photographer involved in the Nia building art installation.
Happy New Year NPU-V community,

My name is Jamani Chavis, I’m an artist working on an installation for Pittsburgh Yards located at 352 University Avenue SW Atlanta, GA. I’m in charge of taking photos of the residents of the NPU-V neighborhoods. With these photographs I will be installing the images at the new Pittsburgh Yards in February. As you know the NPU-V consists of Mechanicsville, Summerhill, Pittsburgh, Adair Park, Peoplestown, Capitol View Manor, and Capitol Gateway. It is very important for me to get as many people photographed that live in these areas as possible.

I have scheduled photo sessions on January 21st @ Pittman Park from 10am-4pm and Dunbar Recreation center on February 1st from 12pm-4pm. I will also be scheduling more times and dates to shoot in the near future. If you or anyone you know would like to be photographed during these times feel free to come. I don’t need much from anyone who wants to participate, but for you to simply come ready to be photographed. If you plan on bringing children I will have photo release forms available. It’s also important that anyone who will be photographed is from, works, or lives in the NPU-V community. Below I have a visual representation of how the work created will look. If you have any questions feel free to reach me at 4045146456. I’m looking forward to meeting you and working together to create something great.

Thank you,
Jamani Chavis
