Hosea Feed the Hungry Easter Event Notification 2018

Hosea Feed the Hungry (Hosea Helps) will host its annual Easter Sunday event this year at the Orange Lot of former Turner Field, located at 513 Capitol Avenue SE, Atlanta, GA 30312, on Sunday, April 1, 2018 from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

We will have no lane closures for this event. We expect a moderate impact to the traffic on Capitol Avenue/ Hank Aaron Drive, but nothing that will cause any significant inconvenience to the residents in the area.

As we continue uphold our mission to rescue, restore, and re-stabilize at-risk and homeless individuals and families so they can thrive and become self-sufficient, we encourage you to stop by at our event this Easter Sunday. There will be fun and food for families and individuals alike.

YEZ Annual Youth Summit during APS Spring Break

Hello NPU-V community stakeholders,

The staff at Foreverfamily youth-serving organization cordially invites young people of the NPU-V area to participate in the Annual Youth Engagement Zone (YEZ) Summit being held during Atlanta Public Schools’ Spring Break week; April 2nd and April 3rd, 2018.

Foreverfamily has served the community for 30 years and worked to provide a shared vision for young people and with youth in the NPU-V community. The YEZ Summit will include participation in a focus group discussion about issues pertaining to young people; e.g. community engagement, youth leadership experience, youth action and voice, etc.

Dr. Jacque-Corey Cormier, who has previously assisted other NPU-V organizations and coalitions, will be leading the 1-hour focus group session at the YEZ Summit along with trained Foreverfamily interns. A 5 – 10-minute survey on youth empowerment and community engagement will be administrated before the focus group session. Youth from the YEZ Summit may be contacted after the summit to complete the survey again.

If you have any questions regarding the focus group session, or wish for your child to not participate in the focus group, please contact Dr. Cormier at jocphd@gmail.com. If you have questions regarding the 2018 YEZ summit, please contact Sandra Barnhill at sandrabarnhill@foreverfam.org. We hope to see your young people there!
